Bureau County Courthouse Elevator Modernization Begins September 2, 2025

SHARE NOW

Elevator modernization work at the Bureau County Courthouse in Princeton is scheduled to begin on September 2nd, with repairs expected to take between nine and eleven weeks. During this period, the courthouse elevator will not be available. Individuals who require ADA accommodations due to mobility issues or other needs are urged to reach out to appropriate courthouse offices before their visit to ensure access arrangements can be made. The project aims to improve reliability and safety, but officials advise planning, as access to certain areas may be affected until the elevator is back in operation later this fall.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the courthouse for the benefit of the county residents and our employees. Updates on the project progress will be shared as new information becomes available. For more information about courthouse department services, visit https://bureaucounty-il.gov.
