Ryan Hicks has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of bank robbery connected to an incident in Morrison, Illinois on July 5th. He appeared in Federal Court in Rockford on September 17th, for a detention hearing and remains in custody as the case moves through the federal system.
With federal charges now pending, local cases in Whiteside County—including charges of robbery, theft by threat, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine—have been dismissed following motions from the State’s Attorney’s Office. Authorities credit multiple law enforcement agencies for their coordinated efforts in the investigation.
