The Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology is taking new steps to foster inclusion within technology procurement. The Office of Supplier Diversity, together with the IT Procurement Office, has introduced an Office Hours program designed to guide vendors and stakeholders. The first session is set for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM Central Time. This initiative falls under the ongoing “Leveraging Diversity in Technology Procurement” educational series, aiming to support diverse businesses in the tech sector and to open doors for greater participation in state projects

“We’re launching this Office Hours program to break down barriers and create more accessible pathways for vendors to engage with state procurement,” said DoIT Chief of Supplier Diversity Alice Rivera-Alfaro. “This new initiative provides a direct line of communication where vendors can get real-time answers and personalized guidance from our experts.”
