Top US Senate Republican says lawmakers will vote Tuesday on bill to avert government shutdown

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Top U.S. Senate Republican John Thune told reporters on Monday that lawmakers in his chamber will vote on Tuesday on a bill meant to avert a government shutdown.

The Senate on September 19 rejected a House-passed funding bill.
