October 13
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of North Center Ave for a loose dog complaint. The owner was able to take the dog back home.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for a threats / disturbance complaint. As the result, Luke Rawlings, 42, Galva, was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was released with a required court date.
October 14
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of West Division Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
As the result of an investigation from a theft complaint last week, Rachel Rawlings, 40, Galva, was arrested for criminal damage to state supported property and theft of utility services over $500.00. She was released with a required court date.
October 15
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer spoke to a complainant at City Hall in reference to cannabis plants being seen at an overgrown and abandoned property. Officer cut the plants down and destroyed them.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1 st Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 2 nd Ave for a suspicious person complaint after the complainant was followed and photographed by an unknown person. Officer was not able to locate the suspect.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a single vehicle accident NE of Galva.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7 th Ave to assist a citizen who wanted to report an earlier disturbance.
October 16
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street for an abandoned vehicle complaint.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of NE 2 nd Ave, Jason Luedee, 52, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a neighbor dispute.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 3 rd Street for a welfare check.
October 17
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Market Street to recover an item of drug paraphernalia that was located. It was disposed of.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 2 nd Street to provide traffic control while a subject loaded equipment.
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a residence on SE 2 nd Street for a report of an unresponsive subject.
October 18
Officer was dispatched to Hayes Road west of town for a complaint involving a loose horse in the roadway. The owner was located and took the animal home.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a runaway juvenile complaint. The subject was located on the roof and returned back inside the residence.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 4 th Street for a complaint involving a group of juveniles damaging property in the area.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Ave for a loose cat complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.
While patrolling, officer located a disabled vehicle in the 1000 block of North Center Ave. Officer stood by while it was loaded onto a trailer and removed.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of East Division Street for a loose dog complaint.
October 19
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 4 th Ave for a burglary / criminal damage to property complaint. This remains under investigation.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a vehicle vs unknown animal collision. Minor damage was noted.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SW 2 nd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 4 th Street for a telephone harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to check the welfare of a subject laying in the ditch. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
