“Augustus had his best race of the season, which was a nice way to end the year. He’s been recovering from a sinus infection and it was good to see him feeling better. Our girls had a fantastic race teamwise. Everyone had either a personal best or season best performance. It was our best finish at the Sectional since our 7th place finish in 2010 and we ended up just 19 points away from qualifying for State. A good portion of that was due to Susanna cutting over a minute off of her best time, but everyone made a super contribution. And, of course, it was wonderful that Payton was able to pick up the 7th of 10 individual State qualifying spots. Besides getting her 3 mile personal best, she almost got her mile and two mile bests along the way. She is the 10th PHS girl to qualify for State as an individual in cross country and moved into our top 12 All-Time in terms of her 3 mile time. Ruby was right in the mix there for the first 2 miles with a strong effort. An excellent day for PHS cross country.” Pat Hodge-Princeton Coach
