Spoon River College’s Office of Community Outreach is launching a 12-week Cannabis Horticulture course this spring, starting February 4th. The program offers hands-on training in areas such as plant botany, soil science, fertigation, and cannabinoid testing. Led by SRC biology expert Thomas Vogel, participants will attend lectures and labs at two locations in Canton, Illinois, and take field trips to cultivation facilities.
Tuition is reduced thanks to support from Nature’s Grace & Wellness, with scholarships and free textbooks available. This course is part of a broader certificate program preparing students for careers in the expanding cannabis industry. Pre-registration is required.
