FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Siemens Healthineers is considering an exit from its diagnostics division over the medium term, after having restructured the division, even though there have been no talks with any suitors yet.
The division will be given more freedom and “optionalities will be created,” said Bernd Montag, CEO of the medical technology group, at a press briefing on the sidelines of its capital markets day in London on Monday.
It is possible that the diagnostics business will no longer be part of Siemens Healthineers in 2030 if it is concluded that this is better for the division, he added.
