An unexpected power outage has left 1,449 people in the Annawan and Atkinson area without power. According to Ameren’s power outage map, the issue is between Annawan and Atkinson. The problem has been assigned to a service crew, but the restoration time was pending at 12:30 AM on December 14, 2025. With temperatures below zero and the wind chill in the double digits, be prepared to leave your home for a warm place until power is restored.
JCE Co-Op said in a Facebook post the that they are aware of a power outage affecting some of their members in the Geneseo area. They said it’s a transmission issue with the lines that feed their service lines and they are working with Ameren to get it resolved.
