“Working with Jere Greuel over the past two years to fulfill his vision for the future of MDH has been rewarding and meaningful. His interaction with staff and leadership has been impactful to rebuilding the culture of MDH,” said President & Chief Executive Officer Bill Murdock. “Congratulations to our incoming Board Chair Dan O’Neill. His leadership as a business owner and community icon will help take MDH to the next level. I am looking forward to working closely with Dan as we continue to improve the experience of delivering excellent patient care at MDH and continue to strategically grow our hospital.”

Greuel joined the Board in February 2018 and was selected as Vice Chair in January 2022. He served in that role for a year before becoming Chair in 2023. Greuel is currently the longest-tenured member of the MDH Board of Directors.

O’Neill joined in January 2019 then four years later was selected as Vice Chair. Pensinger was named to the MDH Board in January 2024.

Shane Miller, PharmD, Supervisor at the MDH Community Pharmacy, opened the Board meeting with an update. The Pharmacy celebrated its 1-year anniversary on January 15. Miller stated that the number of prescriptions filled have steadily increased and the Pharmacy is off to a record start to the month, including the most ever prescriptions filled in one day. According to Miller, “Average daily totals are now equal to what the daily records were two months ago. The Community Pharmacy is continuing to adjust staffing and workflow to meet patient needs.”
