First responders in Illinois have an important opportunity for specialized training on March 28th at Black Hawk East in Galva. Beginning at 9 AM, the County Farm Bureaus are hosting an intensive 8-hour rescue course focused on large animal emergencies. The training is open to fire, police, EMS, sheriff departments, DNR, and Forest Preserve Officers. Participants will engage in practical drills using horses and cows, covering skills such as animal haltering, rescue glides, trailer safety, and simple vertical lifts.
