Royce A. FranckCambridge

Royce A. “Roscoe” Franck, 69, of Cambridge died on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3rd at the Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Cambridge. Rev. Lisa Unger will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge with military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or the Cambridge Fire Department.

Royce Allen Franck was born March 29, 1956 in Geneseo the son of Maurice V. and Rose Mary (VanDeWalle) Franck. He was raised and educated in Cambridge graduating Cambridge High School in 1974. Royce served in the Marine Corp.in the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division from 1974 to 1976 and participated in Operation Frequent Wind Saigon Vietnam in 1975. On September 24, 1977 he married Lori Schieferdecker in Cambridge.

Royce owned and operated the Royce Franck Trucking and Custom Application with his wife Lori. He also worked for IDOT as a snowbird during the winter months. Royce enjoyed motorcycles, boating and golfing. He also had a great passion for music. Royce would never miss his grandkids sporting events. He shared a special bond with each of his grandchildren and treasured every moment spent watching them grow.

Survivors include his wife, Lori; children, Ryan (Megan) Franck, Cambridge, and Kara (Scott) Packee; Kewanee; grandchildren, Ronan, Torin, Hannah, and Charlie. He is also survived by his mother, Rose Mary “Dolly” Franck, Geneseo; brothers and sisters, Ron (Pam) Franck, Cambridge, Randy Franck, Geneseo; Rick (Sue) Franck, Bob (Julie) Franck, and Rory (Mary) Franck, Lisa (Scott) Palmer, all of Cambridge; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law’s, Deb (Bob) Cowan, Maple Grove, MN, and Sheri (Glenn) Maertens, Cambridge.

He was preceded in death by his father Maurice Franck.
