A high-speed pursuit late Sunday night ended with a crash near the intersection of Page Street Extension and the Galva-Atkinson Blacktop, just south of Kewanee. Authorities say a patrol sergeant clocked a vehicle at 107 miles per hour on US Highway 34 south of Kewanee and attempted to stop the driver, who fled from the deputy. Two individuals were taken into custody at the scene. The driver, 23-year-old Ryan D. Hagerty, faces multiple charges, including DUI, aggravated fleeing, and criminal speeding. The passenger was released without charges. No injuries or property damage were reported. Hagerty remains at the Henry County Jail pending court proceedings.
