Yard Waste Pick Up Still a Few Weeks Out

With temperatures more typical of late spring, local residents are eager to tackle yard work earlier than usual this year. Sterling City officials, however, are urging everyone to keep grass clippings, branches, and leaves out of the streets. The street sweepers have not begun their routes, as salt from winter treatments remains on the roads.

Pushing debris curbside risks clogging storm drains and could lead to neighborhood flooding. Instead, residents are encouraged to take their yard waste to the Public Works facility located on Avenue L. More information on proper disposal is available on the city’s website.
