Chicago Fire Soccer fans can now showcase their team spirit on Illinois roads with a new specialty license plate, just in time for the club’s home opener at Soldier Field. Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias announced the plates, which feature the club’s official logo and colors, are available through the state’s Pick-a-Plate program. The initiative not only lets supporters display their Fire pride, but also benefits youth charities throughout Illinois. Plates can be personalized for various vehicle types, including passenger cars, motorcycles, and RVs. To order, visit the Secretary of State’s website and follow the steps to customize your plate.

“In Illinois, we’re passionate about our sports teams and now Chicago Fire fans can show their team pride every time they hit the road,” Giannoulias said. “The Chicago Fire plate not only celebrates the state’s premier soccer team but also supports charitable opportunities for kids across Illinois, making a positive impact that goes far beyond the game itself.”

Dan Moriarty, Chicago Fire’s Chief Marketing Officer, described the plate as a “badge of pride” for supporters. The club, established in 1997, hopes this initiative boosts pride as the Fire prepare for their home opener at Soldier Field this Saturday. “This is more than a license plate – it’s a badge of pride,” said Dan Moriarty, Chief Marketing Officer for Chicago Fire FC. “We’re excited to give our fans a new way to represent the Fire and show their love for the Club wherever they drive – whether to a match or the grocery store.”
