Sterling Police Report for Friday March 6th

Several arrests and citations were reported across Whiteside County yesterday. Destiny D. Wolber, 29, of Rock Falls, was taken into custody in the early hours on a county warrant. Later, Teresa M. Pitts of Walnut received a citation after a traffic crash for disobeying a traffic control device.

Sterling resident Matthew I. Mach, 36, was cited for expired registration during a stop. Two men, Martin S. Briseno and Ryan A. Fenton, were arrested on outstanding warrants and later posted bond.

In addition, police served Crystal M. Portner with a notice to appear for no insurance, while Alicia M. Jimenez faces drug and traffic-related charges.

The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
