Sterling Main Street and the City of Sterling are excited to announce the live music lineup for the inaugural Sterling Street Fest, a new community celebration set for Saturday, July 25th, from 2:00–8:00 PM in downtown Sterling.
The family-friendly festival will feature a full afternoon and evening of live music, local vendors, food and beverages from surrounding businesses, and activities for all ages. Three bands will take the stage throughout the event, bringing a diverse mix of styles and high-energy performances to the heart of downtown.
The day kicks off with local favorite, The Solution, performing from 2:00–4:00 PM. Known for their dynamic stage presence and crowd-pleasing sound, The Solution will set the tone for the afternoon with an upbeat set to get festivalgoers settled in and ready for a full day of music and community celebration.
Next up is Loess Hills, performing from 4:30–5:30 PM. The rising country trio from the Quad Cities blends outlaw country with modern pop and hip-hop influences, creating a sound rooted in blue-collar storytelling and Midwestern pride. The group features Alex Fischbach (vocals/guitar), Tanner Skiff (vocals), and Ro Pesci (vocals), backed by drummer Travis Ray and DJ Smoke Rodriguez.
Each member brings notable experience to the stage. Fischbach was a Top 50 contestant on American Idol XIV, while Skiff has had his music played in front of 70,000 Iowa football fans at Kinnick Stadium, amassed nearly 1 million YouTube views, and collaborated with country superstar Jelly Roll. Loess Hills has opened for major acts including Tim McGraw, Jelly Roll, Warren Zeiders, Nelly, and MGK, and has performed at events such as Tailgate N’ Tallboys, the Field of Dreams, and Iowa Speedway.
Closing out the festival is The Breakfast Club, performing from 6:00–8:00 PM. One of the country’s most recognized and longest-running ‘80s tribute acts, the Chicago-based band delivers a high-energy show packed with iconic hits that keep crowds singing and dancing all night. Their performances celebrate the music and spirit of the MTV generation with a nonstop lineup of crowd-favorite anthems.
Sterling Street Fest will take place along East 3rd Street between 1st Avenue and Locust Street, as well as the Light Street Alley area, transforming the downtown district into a lively festival space. Guests will be able to purchase food and beverages from nearby restaurants along with on-site vendors while enjoying the music and activities.
“This event is about celebrating Sterling—our community, our businesses, and the people who make downtown a special place,” organizers said. “We’re thrilled to bring in an exciting lineup of live music and create a new tradition that brings people together.”
Sterling Street Fest is part of a broader effort by Sterling Main Street and the City of Sterling to build community pride, support local businesses, and create new experiences in the downtown district as the nation approaches the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration.
Additional details about vendors, activities, and event updates will be announced in the coming months.
