Lee County Sheriff Investigating Suspicious Activity Calls

On April 22nd, a man in a silver van or white pickup reportedly approached children in Franklin Grove, offering them the chance to earn extra money. Deputies patrolled the area but found no suspect.
A second report, made May 1st, described a white male with a beard in a white van attempting to lure children in Amboy. Investigations are ongoing. Parents are advised to discuss personal safety with children, and residents should report any suspicious activity to law enforcement promptly.
