Arlene E. Pacquer, 92, of Kewanee passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026 at Arcadia Care at Kewanee.

The daughter of August and Clara Moens, Arlene and her twin Darlene were born on October 3, 1933 on the family farm in Atkinson, IL. Arlene attended Mount Sunny grade school and graduated from Atkinson High School in 1951. After high school Arlene married her high school sweetheart on January 26, 1952. They welcomed three children, Christopher, Susan and Kathleen. They moved to Kewanee and had 74 years together. After retirement they were fortunate to travel, spending the winter in South Carolina.

Arlene was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed helping with the funeral luncheons the Altar and Rosary provided. Throughout her marriage she worked for the Star Courier and as a food demonstrator for local grocery stores. Arlene was so proud of being raised on the farm with her parents, brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband Dave, daughters, Susan (Danny) Crabtree and Kathleen Pacquer, grandchildren, Ryan Crabtree and Rachael (Dave) May and great grandchildren, Carley, Hattie and Max. Also surviving are her sisters, twin Darlene (Maurice) DeSutter and Carolyn Burke, brother-in-law, Greg Pacquer, sister-in-law, Connie Neil and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher, her parents August and Clara Moens, sisters, Rachel Mock and Helen Beuseling and brothers; Ralph, Richard, Leonard and Vernon Moens.

The family would like to thank OSF Hospice and all the caregivers at Arcadia Care at Kewanee for the wonderful care.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 15 at Saint John Paul II Parish. Celebrant will be Fr. Narcis Katambe. Private inurnment will be held at St. Anthony Cemetery in Atkinson. Memorial donations may be directed to Visitation School. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.
