Presentation of the history of the Church of Peace on July 25th

The Church of Peace in Kewanee is marking a major milestone: 150 years of history. On Saturday, July 25th, the church will host “From Where We Came,” a special presentation exploring its German roots and the families who helped build the congregation. Dean Karau and Michael Fischer will lead the discussion, beginning at 3 PM. Visitors can also take self-guided cemetery tours from 2 to 6 PM, offering a closer look at the church’s past and the people connected to it. The event takes place at 28358 North 900 Avenue in Kewanee.
