Ernst calls farm bill gridlock frustrating

U.S. Senator Joni Ernst says she’s frustrated with the lack of movement on the farm bill.

The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield the current gridlock centers around funding. “The bill that we’re looking at in the Senate is at a cost of one-and-a-half trillion dollars, yet only 14% of that actually goes to farm programs.”

Ernst says bipartisan progress has been minimal. “The Democrats right now don’t want to come to the table.
