U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says agricultural trade is one of his biggest concerns in 2024.

“I don’t think this administration has a trade policy,” he said in a press call with farm reporters Tuesday.

The Iowa Republican says he’s urging the U.S. Trade Representative and Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack to help expand global markets by increasing export opportunities. “Particularly reducing tariffs around the world,” Grassley said. “This administration needs to fight and win more USMCA disputes, and then the best thing is more trade agreements.”

Grassley says commodity prices have been suffering from a sharp decline in U.S.
