The American dream may be killing Green Day, but American Dad! is helping them to wake up.
The band’s Punk Bunny Coffee brand has announced a new drink collaboration with the long-running animated show. The Good Morning USA blend, which references the American Dad! theme song, is described as a “full-body roast with notes of citrus peel and chocolate milk.”
“This collab with Punk Bunny is a total blast!” says series co-creator Matt Weitzman and executive producer Brian Boyle. “We’re stoked to celebrate American Dad! with a roast that’s as wild and irreverent as the show itself.”
“Green Day’s been rocking out almost as long as we’ve been trying to wake up in the morning,” the pair adds. “And twice as long as we’ve been waking up in the morning and trying to write jokes for American Dad! So this collab coffee, or colloffee as we’ve been saying around the office, feels long overdue!”

Punk Bunny launched in May and has since announced collaborations with Keurig, 7-Eleven and the LAFC soccer team.
In between all that, Green Day had a busy year on the road supporting their new album, Saviors, and celebrating the respective 30th and 20th anniversaries of Dookie and American Idiot.
