Did you know that a throwback sound and real-life relationship inspired Jordan Davis‘ “I Ain’t Sayin"”?

“I feel like [‘I Ain’t Sayin’] was one that kind of goes back to that first record that we put out, has kind of had some of those sounds,” Jordan told ABC Audio, referring to his 2018 debut album, Home State. “I mean, really [it’s] a song about … a friend [we had] that was dating somebody that nobody liked, but she was still dating him.”

“I wish I could have played this song for them. But yeah, sometimes you’re in a relationship that you’re the only one [who] knows it’s not a good one,” he said with a laugh.

Jordan said he’s hard at work on the finishing touches of his Bluebird Days follow-up, and he’s gunning to have it out to you this year.

“I wrote two more songs I’m going to go record. So I’m pretty fired up about those,” he shared in a mid-November interview. “But, early [2025], hopefully within the first couple months of [the] year.”

“I Ain’t Sayin"” is now in the top 10 and climbing up the country charts.
