In a heartwarming culmination of two months of dedicated fundraising and toy collection, the Miss World Festival Organization has successfully gathered over $10,000 in toys and donations. This remarkable achievement involved support from various counties, organizations, and numerous generous individuals. The Miss World Festival Organization set a goal of $10,000 last year, and they achieved that goal. Miss World Festival Organizers Jeanna Moore and Stephanie Smith said in a Facebook post, “We set a goal last year for this year of $10,000 and we definitely did just that! These young ladies and their families worked so hard and their compassion and loved showed ten fold. We at the Miss World Festival Organization are so incredibly grateful to everyone that helped us.”
Celebrating their 11-year partnership with Child Life Specialist DeMetria Gaines and the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois, the event highlighted the exceptional care and compassion extended to needy children. The organizer emphasized the joy and lasting memories created during the finale, praising the resilience and empathy observed in the children and their families. This initiative brought smiles to many faces and showcased the power of community support and love.
“The love this hospital has for the children they care for is exceptional, compassionate and unmatched. We are so happy to get to see so many beautiful families and have them share their stories with us. The memories we made today will last us a lifetime. The girls were amazed at the resilience of these young children. The amount of empathy we have for all of these families and the love they showed us was so sweet. We pray these children get stronger by the day and hopefully if nothing else we put a smile on their face for just a moment or a few hours. We know at that point we have made a difference. God be with all of you and we will keep you in our prayers. Thank you for sharing your loved ones with us.”
