Abilities Plus released a statement in response to accusations by a client’s family, prior staff, and current staff regarding alleged neglect of residential clients and abuse of staff. The accusations are concerning and disturbing. The individuals that have come forward said the issues began about three years ago. The people speaking out now only want Abilities Plus to be the happy, healthy, safe place it was a few years ago. Andrew Yarger is a client at Abilities Plus, and his family has expressed concerns for two years about the care and safety of Andrew. You will hear from his family and their fears for his health and safety. You will hear from current staff and former staff members regarding the treatment they refer to as “abuse and bullying” from management.
The individuals who came forward want change and allow Abilities Plus to continue serving people with disabilities, as they have for many years.
