The Kewanee Elks #724 has named Addison Looney and Maddux Heitzler as December 2025 Teens of the Month. Addison, a senior at Wethersfield High School, excels with a top class rank and a 5.02 GPA. Her achievements stretch across academics, music, athletics, and leadership roles, highlighted by positions such as National Honor Society President and FFA Reporter. Meanwhile, Annawan High’s Maddux Heitzler boasts a 3.9 GPA and has led both football and basketball teams as captain, earning All-State honors in football, basketball, and baseball. Both students are active in community service, contributing to school events and volunteering in local programs.

He has a 3-year achievement in the National Honor Society and All-Conference Academic Basketball & Baseball. He has a 2-year achievement as captain of the basketball team. He has a 1-year achievement as captain of the football team, 1st Team All-State Football, All-State Basketball, 1st Team All-Conference Basketball, 2nd Team All-Conference, All-State Baseball, and All-Conference for 2 years. His community service includes volunteering for Chain Gang JFL, baseball field maintenance, Reading Carnival, and Grandparents Day.
