Hundreds of community members are preparing to honor area heroes during the Anonymously Grateful Honor Ride in Eldridge, Iowa. This annual event pays tribute to three local Gold Star families, with special recognition for the family of Marine PFC Nick M. Skinner, a 2003 North Scott graduate who was killed in action in Iraq in 2004. The ride also remembers Army Specialist Josh Omvig and Marine Sgt. Brandon Ketchum, both lost to mental health struggles after returning home. The rally begins at 9 am at the Eldridge Community Center, with participants traveling through several local towns. Donations are accepted via Venmo @anonymouslygrateful.
