Festival 56 in Princeton is inviting youth ages 14 to 22 to apply for paid apprentice positions for their 2025 Summer Youth Employment in the Arts program. Supported by federal funds and a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, the eight-week program offers apprenticeships in theatre production fields such as scenic design, technical direction, costume design, directing, lighting and sound, stage management, and public relations. Apprentices earn $15 per hour for up to 15 hours a week and receive mentorship from professional artists. Applications, including a cover letter and resume, must be emailed by May 1, 2025.
