Upcoming programs at the Princeton Public Library include a writers’ meeting for the Gwendolyn Brooks Youth Poetry Awards on March 29th. Next is a Solar Eclipse Presentation by Gerri Woodlief on April 2nd. Followed by an interaction with author Shari Emami discussing her book on April 19th. Lastly, Susan Glassman’s Nutrition and Wellness Program, titled ‘Comfort Food Reinvented’, will take place on April 24th. All programs are free to attend.

March 29th at 5 PM

The Princeton Public Library is hosting a meeting for the writers of Princeton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities to share ideas, and be challenged in a new way. This program will be following The Gwendolyn Brooks Youth Poetry Awards Competition in April. Students K-5 (with a parent) and 6-12 can come and participate to culminate ideas for the competition with amateur and published writers on March 29th at 5 pm. The meeting will last an hour. This program is free and all are welcome to attend.

April 2nd at 6:30 PM

The Princeton Public Library is hosting Gerri Woodlief’s Solar Eclipse Presentation: Traveling with the Eclipse, on April 2nd at 6:30 pm. Gerri Woodlief has traveled the world to follow this yearly occurrence. The eclipse will take place on April 8th, at approximately 1 pm. The library will provide free Solar Eclipse viewers with printed instructions, available behind the circulation desk and at the presentation. To check the totality map, go to Where & When (nasa.gov). This program is free and all are welcome to attend.

April 19th at 4:30 PM

The Princeton Public Library is hosting a Zoom presentation for Libby Author Shari Emami, H.H.P., and her book “Breaking Free from Pain, From Suffering to Strength, My Own Personal Journey with Fibromyalgia and Healing Modalities.” Her book is available to Princeton patrons through the Libby App. This program will be in person and online for those who cannot make it to the library on April 19th at 4:30 pm. This program is free and all are welcome to attend.

April 24th at 5 PM

The Princeton Public Library is hosting Susan Glassman’s Nutrition and Wellness Program: “Comfort Food Reinvented”, from the Illinois Extension Office. This program will take place on April 24th at 5 pm at the Princeton Public Library and will include a PowerPoint, handouts and recipes, and a cooking demonstration (with a sample to taste). This program is free and all are welcome to attend.
