Authorities Asking Public’s Help Locate Missing, Endangered Macomb Man


Fischer was last seen on Sunday, January 8th at 12 p.m., and last heard from at 3 p.m. on Sunday after he placed a descriptive text to his ex-wife that indicated suicidal intentions.

Fischer is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, 175-200 lbs., with shaggy, light brown hair and a long beard. He also has a tattoo of an eagle on his neck, and a sleeve tattoo on his right arm that has an eagle, a tiger, a girl, and lightning bolts.

Shortly before his disappearance, Fischer was captured on security cameras exiting the Macomb Wal-Mart, where he purchased a gray backpack, which is believed to be on his person, as well as a bicycle which he rode while heading towards the north side Macomb. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes, a black Jeep-branded hooded sweatshirt, a black North Face jacket, black ballcap, and sunglasses.

Ground searches for Fischer were conducted on Monday in the area where his phone was last pinged, which was between Macomb and Bardolph.

At this time, citizens who have interacted with or seen Eric since noon on Sunday are asked to call the authorities with any information to help locate him. Additionally, businesses and land owners between Macomb and Bardolph are asked to conduct a sweep of their property and to check their surveillance cameras for any clues or signs that could help locate Fischer.

A Facebook page has been created to help citizens identify Fischer as well as to share information. People who may have seen Fischer, have video of him since Sunday afternoon, or discover any clues of his whereabouts are urged to visit the Find Eric Fischer Facebook page.
