Bishop Hill will celebrate its 129th Old Settlers’ Day on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Festivities start with Morning Fika at 10 AM at the Colony School, featuring a “Meet the Colonists” display. At noon, the High Society Band takes the stage in Village Park—attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. The afternoon offers an Area School Reunion and Dessert Social at 2 PM, serving sweets and classic drinks like lingonberry iced tea. The celebration also honors 179 years since the founding of Bishop Hill. All events are free, with museums, shops, and local restaurants available throughout town.
