Black Hawk College Celebrates 56 Years of Life Changing Adult Education Programs

Black Hawk College is highlighting its commitment to literacy during National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, held September 14th through 20th. Since 1969, the college’s Adult Education program has empowered over 1,000 students each year with free classes in GED preparation, English as a Second Language, and high school diploma completion. With more than 43 million adults in the U.S. struggling with basic literacy, these programs offer paths to better jobs, increased earnings, and brighter futures. Classes are tailored to individual goals, with sessions starting every three weeks.

Black Hawk College is shining a spotlight on the importance of adult education during National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, running September 14th through 20th.
