A small fire broke out earlier in the Auto Shop and Ag Mechanic Lab area of Black Hawk College East Campus, located five miles south of Kewanee. The incident was quickly contained within Building C, and officials confirm there were no injuries. As a precaution, all students and employees have been released, and the campus is closed for the remainder of the day. Classes are expected to resume tomorrow, September 10th, with faculty providing updates on instruction methods and locations. College officials expressed gratitude to police, fire, and rescue teams for their swift response.
