Assisting someone with daily tasks after an injury—like transferring from a wheelchair to a couch, or simply holding a coffee mug—can make a world of difference. Black Hawk College is launching a new Occupational Therapy Assistant program designed to train students for this hands-on, high-demand field. Applications for the Fall 2026 class are due by March 1, 2026. Requirements include 10 observation hours, a personal statement, two recommendation letters, and completion of the Health Science Reasoning Test.
