Boil Order following Hydrant Replacement

SHARE NOW

The Public Works Department is replacing a fire hydrant in the area of East First and South Vine this morning into early afternoon. The fire hydrant was struck by a vehicle last night. Affected residents will be without water during this time and will be on a boil order when water service is restored.  Test results for the water usually take 24-48 hours.

Residents in the area may experience low water pressure or rusty water.  Residents should run cold water to flush the system to avoid running rust into your water heater.  Only Water used for drinking or eating is under the boil order. The boil order is for the residents that have no water during this time.

The following address will have no water during this time:

501 E First St

105 S Vine St

108 S Vine St
