Some Kewanee water customers in the 200 block of S. Elm Street will be without water this morning into this afternoon as the Public Works Department works on a water main in the area. The residents without water will be under a boil order until test results come back in approximately 24 to 48 hours. Residents in the area may experience low water pressure and/or rusty water.
Only flush the system with cold water to avoid drawing rust into the water heater. Water being consumed for drinking or eating is all that is under the order. The boil order is only for the residences that lost water during this time.
