Coach Jose Bermudez said, “First regional game for kewanee, boilermakers paid a visit to Chillicote, it was a well played game by both teams, kewanee took the iniciative on the attack, via Alonso corral, corral hit the crossbar twice and missing a shot close to the goal, kewanee’s attack was based on speed, little by little IVC started balancing the game keeping more possession of the ball, but the boilermakers defense was like a wall, not letting any body going inn.

It looked like the game was going to end in a tie and going into overtime, at the minute 39 of second half, one minute till the end, Demarion Thomas gave a long pass where Tyson Currie made use of his speed and beat the defense and scored the winning goal. The boilermakers will face Alleman in regional semifinal.”
