MACOMB, IL – The Bomber Boys Varsity basketball squad ended their 2023 regular season on a high note on Wednesday night, beating Monmouth-Roseville at home 53-35.

The Bombers finished the regular season with a 23-5 overall record and a 4-1 Prairieland conference record, which set them in second place behind Illini West.

Next up is their bid in the postseason, which they have entered with a #2 seed ahead of the Canton Sectional that starts on Monday. In the postseason brackets posted on the IHSA website, the Bombers were revealed to have earned a bye for the Quarterfinals. This means that their first postseason game will be against the winner of the Quarterfinal match between #8 Farmington and #9 Canton, which tips off Monday, February 19th in Farmington starting at 7 p.m.

The Bombers played both squads earlier in the season, falling to Farmington in a close 56-57 match on December 5th, and beating Canton 55-41 on the 22nd.

The Bombers will play the winner of that match on that following Wednesday in Farmington starting at 6.
