Brace for Slippery Roads and Strong Winds as Snow Showers Sweep Through the Area

SHARE NOW

Travelers should exercise caution as light to moderate snow showers are expected to impact areas east of the Mississippi River, along and south of I-80 around midday. Road conditions may worsen, particularly on I-80 and I-74, where slick surfaces could pose risks. Visibility could drop below one mile during intense snow showers and gusty conditions. Motorists are advised to slow down, use extra caution, especially when turning or stopping, and maintain a safe following distance. Additionally, gusty northwest winds and dropping temperatures will lead to wind chills in the single digits both above and below zero later today.
