Bureau County 4-H youth participated in the Illinois 4-H Horse Judging Contest at Black Hawk College East on February 2, 2025. The event featured six horse evaluation classes, with participants aged 14 and older competing in the Reasons division. Quincy Hochstatter placed 7th individually, and the Bureau County team secured 6th in the non-reasons division. The contest fosters skills in observation, decision-making, and communication among youth passionate about the equine industry.
