Tragedy struck Chatham this afternoon as a vehicle crashed into the YNOT After School Camp on Breckenridge Road. Authorities report the car first struck several people outside the building before plowing through the structure, hitting more inside, then exiting through the west wall. Four young victims, believed to be aged between 4 and 18, have sadly died—three outside and one inside the building. Several others were taken to nearby hospitals, including one airlifted from the scene. The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, is being evaluated at a hospital. Walnut Street remains closed during the ongoing investigation by Illinois State Police.
