Cathy St. George Joins Galesburg as Assistant City Manager and Community Engagement Director

Cathy St. George has been appointed Assistant City Manager and Director of Community Engagement for the City of Galesburg. St. George brings more than a decade of experience in city administration, along with advanced degrees in political science and business. St. George will focus on advancing the city’s 2024 strategic plan, specifically by developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy across all departments. In her new role, she aims to strengthen connections between city staff and residents, foster transparency, and support operational effectiveness. St. George expressed gratitude for the opportunity and a commitment to the city’s long-term success. This move highlights the City’s commitment to leveraging existing talent to drive high-priority initiatives and foster lasting civic engagement.
