Celebrate Galva’s Freedom Fest Weekend with Food, Fun, and Fireworks

Galva’s Freedom Fest at Wiley Park is underway, offering a weekend packed with activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy pork chop dinners, a 5k run, and a hearty pancake breakfast. Classic vehicle fans will delight in the antique tractor show, while art enthusiasts can participate in creative activities. Highlights of the event include a vibrant parade, live music performances, and a diverse array of food vendors. Saturday and Sunday will feature additional concerts and a community worship service. The festival culminates in a dazzling fireworks display, promising a lively celebration for residents and visitors alike all weekend long.

Wiley Park will be the site of the Galva Freedom Fest 5K this Fourth of July, drawing runners of all ages to celebrate the holiday in an active way. Registration is open online for $25 through July 1st, with a race t-shirt included for those who sign up early. If you prefer to wait, day-of registration is offered for $30. After the main race, children ten and under can enjoy a free fun run. It’s an opportunity for community fitness and festive spirit, with events for both seasoned runners and families looking for a fun holiday outing.
