Celebrating 50 Years of the Macomb Farmers Market

SHARE NOW

The Macomb Farmers Market has marked a major milestone—its 50th anniversary as Illinois’ oldest continuous downstate farmers market. The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Committee hosted a ribbon cutting in Chandler Park, where the market takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays from May through October. Under the leadership of Alyson Sturgis and a dedicated board, the market has expanded beyond local produce, baked goods, and crafts to feature live music, family activities, and educational programs. Organizers invite the community to discover new offerings this season and to follow the market’s updates on Facebook and Instagram.
