Central Junior High School Food Drive through June 17th

Central Junior High students have launched a creative Reverse Food Drive for the Kewanee Food Pantry as part of their Building Community lessons in Social and Emotional Learning. Students designed posters, coordinated logistics, and reached out to the pantry to identify what’s needed most. Collection runs June 3rd through June 17th at Central School, with drop-offs welcome weekdays between 7 AM and 1:30 PM. The school’s goal is to gather 200 items for donation. Community members are encouraged to participate—every contribution counts toward supporting local families in need.

Organizers specifically need peanut butter, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and paper towels, though all items are welcome.
