State Senator Neil Anderson recently received the Friend of Agriculture award from the Illinois Farm Bureau, honoring his steadfast support for Illinois farmers, particularly in the 47th Senate District. This recognition underscores his efforts to empower local farmers and advocate against restrictive policies. In addition to receiving this accolade, Senator Anderson is addressing agricultural challenges directly by launching a Wildlife Nuisance Survey. This initiative aims to tackle crop damage issues by engaging with farmers’ feedback to develop effective solutions, further demonstrating his commitment to the agricultural community in Illinois.

“Our farmers play an important role in job creation, Illinois’ economy, and in feeding our world,” said Senator Anderson. “As the number one industry in Illinois, we must find ways to support our producers, ensuring they have the necessary tools without adding burdensome restrictions from Springfield.”

“Senator Anderson is a strong supporter of Western Illinois farmers, regularly seeking input from producers during his travels across the district,” said Mercer County Farm Bureau President Chad Bell. “As a friend of farmers, we know Senator Anderson has our back when it comes to supporting local farmers and speaking out against policies that hinder our producers.”

After traveling throughout the 47th District over the summer, Senator Anderson also launched a Wildlife Nuisance Survey in response to concerns from area farmers regarding crop damage caused by wild animals. The survey demonstrates Senator Anderson’s commitment to area farmers, gathering feedback, and exploring possible solutions for the future.
