Kewanee’s Northeast Park transformed into a festive hub Today, May 3rd, for the Cinco de Mayo celebration. From noon until 5 PM, families can enjoy obstacle courses, classic jump houses, crafts, music, and a reptile petting zoo featured between 2 and 4 PM. Piñata and sombrero giveaways are scheduled every hour, with face painting and a special market for young entrepreneurs on tap. Delicious Mexican fare—tacos, burritos, nachos, and fresas con crema—will be sold by local vendors. Admission is free, with the Kewanee Commission on Human Relations spearheading the celebration for all residents.
