In the past year, the Colona Fire Department reported a total of 883 emergency calls. A breakdown of these incidents shows a majority were for rescue and emergency medical services, tallying up to 616 calls. Fire-related emergencies accounted for 37 incidents, while hazardous conditions without fire were noted 28 times. The department also responded to 109 service calls, 72 good intent calls, and 19 false alarms. Additionally, severe weather and natural disasters triggered responses on 2 occasions. This data highlights the varied challenges faced by our local firefighters and rescue personnel.
