Jerrico Lessard – Jerrico Lessard waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment. Lessard is charged with disseminating an image of two women who were at least 18 years of age and were identifiable from the image. The image depicted the women with their intimate parts exposed, in whole or in part, and the defendant obtained the image under circumstances under which a reasonable person would know or understand that the image was to remain private, and the defendant knew or should have known that the women had not consented to the dissemination. Counts 1-3 are for disseminating sexual images of a woman on or about October 14, 2023, and count 4 is for disseminating a sexual image of a second woman on or about June 2, 2023. Lessard resigned from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office on January 23, 2024, amid allegations of off-duty misconduct. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police investigated the allegations and filed formal charges in April. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for July 18, 2024, at 10 AM. Jerrico J.C. Lessard is charged with four counts of Nonconsensual Dissemination of a Sexual Image (Class 4 Felony). Special Prosecutors from Lee County, State’s Attorney Charles Boonstra, and First Assistant State’s Attorney Brian Brim are allowed to appear by Zoom.
Donavan Mathis – Donavan Mathis waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment. Mathis is charged with breaking a window in the Henry County Jail. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for June 20, 2024, at 2 PM. Donavan Mathis is charged with Criminal Damage to Gvnt Property <$500 (Class 4 Felony) for case 2024CF145. Mathis is charged with Domestic Battery/Contact (Class 4 Felony) and Domestic Battery/Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2024CF90. Mathis is charged with Escape/Violate Elec Monitoring (Class 3 Felony) for case 2024CF118.
